Three people died and eight were injured Friday night after a lorry driver’s overtaking attempt sent his truck straight into an oncoming minibus on the Kampala-Gulu Highway in Luwero District. The Tata lorry, loaded with poles and heading to Kampala, swung into the oncoming lane to pass a line of vehicles and hit a Toyota Hiace head-on near Nkondo Village, Nyimbwa Sub-county, at around 11:30 PM.
