According to the latest Forbes ranking, the continent’s billionaire club continues to expand in value, with a total combined wealth now estimated at over $126 billion. Manufacturing, luxury retail, mining, telecoms, and energy remain the dominant sources of wealth among Africa’s elite.
1. Aliko Dangote – $28.5 billion
Nigeria’s industrial heavyweight Aliko Dangote retains his position as Africa’s richest person.
