Three men armed with pangas broke into a home in Kabaale B Ward, Katabi Town Council early on Sunday morning, robbing the occupants of Shs 570,000 and a Samsung Galaxy Note 10 before police surrounded the house and arrested them. The incident happened at around 3:30 AM. When officers arrived and closed in on the residence, the suspects were found hiding in the ceiling. Two people died on the spot on Thursday evening after a Toyota Noah lost control and slammed head-on into a Tausi bus at Kantojo Village in Rwentuha Town Council, Bushenyi District. The Noah, registration number UA196AY, was heading towards Mbarara when it veered into the path of the Tausi bus, registration number UA707AK, which was travelling in the opposite direction towards Ishaka. A 28-year-old mother of newborn triplets was abandoned by her husband at Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital  after he discovered she was expecting three babies. Obvious Atuhaire, a peasant farmer from Kagando Cell in Nyakayojo Division, Mbarara City, has been at the hospital since February 3 when she delivered two girls and a boy at 35 weeks.
