Residents of Sunton area in Kasarani, Nairobi County, are in deep shock following the brutal murder of a house manager inside her employer’s home on Tuesday, May 12.
The victim, whose identity is yet to be made public, had been working for a couple in the neighborhood.
Reports suggest that tension rose after the wife, Julian Mwangi, discovered her husband was allegedly having an affair with the domestic worker.
The situation is said to have caused repeated disagreements between the couple before the matter turned violent.
Neighbors reported hearing a loud commotion and screams for help throughout the night, but many assumed it was a domestic dispute and did not intervene.
It was only the following morning that the truth emerged when the woman’s body was discovered inside the house.
The body bore multiple stab wounds and visible bruises, indicating she suffered prolonged physical abuse.
Police officers who processed the crime scene collected several pieces of evidence, including blood-stained items.
Following the incident, both Julian and her husband fled the scene, abandoning their five-year-old child.
The minor is currently under police protection as the investigation continues. The child has since been taken into police protection as investigations continue.
Local residents expressed their outrage, describing Julian as a person with a history of violent behavior. They are now demanding swift justice and have urged the authorities to track down and arrest the suspects.
Police have appealed to members of the public to provide any information that could lead to the arrest of the couple.
