The Uganda National Association of Building and Civil Engineering Contractors (UNABSEC) has reaffirmed its commitment to working with the Ruparelia Group and VCON Construction (U) Ltd following a courtesy visit aimed at strengthening collaboration in Uganda’s construction and infrastructure sector.
The UNABSEC delegation, led by its President, Mrs. Kiara Binta Nkuranga, met with Ruparelia Group Chairman Dr. Sudhir Ruparelia and the General Manager of VCON Construction (U) Ltd, Mr. Prabhat Mishra.
According to UNABSEC, the meeting focused on reinforcing the long-standing relationship between the association and the Ruparelia Group while providing an opportunity to present the association’s mandate, ongoing programmes and priorities for the construction industry.
The discussions also explored areas of future collaboration intended to promote the growth of Uganda’s construction and infrastructure sector, with an emphasis on innovation, safety and sustainable development.
During the meeting, UNABSEC thanked VCON Construction (U) Ltd for confirming its support as a Silver Sponsor of the 2nd Uganda Construction & Infrastructure Forum & Exhibition (UCIFE) 2026 and the Contractors’ Run 2026, describing the company’s commitment as an important contribution to the success of the upcoming industry events.
The delegation also extended its condolences to the Ruparelia Group and the VCON Construction family following the death of Rajiv Ruparelia, acknowledging his contribution to Uganda’s construction industry.
UNABSEC said Rajiv’s role in supporting the growth of the sector and advancing construction initiatives in the country would be remembered by industry stakeholders.
The association expressed optimism about deepening its partnership with the Ruparelia Group and VCON Construction, noting that closer cooperation would help advance a safer, more innovative and sustainable construction industry in Uganda.
