Ugandan Businesswoman in USA Shocked After Suspected African Witchcraft Is Found at Her Salon

    By OnionJune 8, 2026

US-based Ugandan businesswoman Jalia Walda Nasolo has spoken of her distress after discovering what she believes were charms or traditional ritual items left at her salon in Texas by an unknown woman.

According to sources close to Nasolo, the incident has left the entrepreneur deeply worried, prompting her to spend much of her time in prayer while seeking divine intervention.

It is claimed that the unidentified woman secretly placed the items at the salon premises before disappearing. Nasolo and some of her associates reportedly believe the objects were intended to negatively affect the business by driving away potential customers despite the salon’s location in a busy area.

The discovery has sparked concern among friends, family members, and members of the Ugandan community who have followed Nasolo’s business journey in the United States.

Speaking to people close to her, Nasolo reportedly expressed shock over the incident, saying she never expected such an occurrence at her workplace.

While the identity of the person who allegedly left the items remains unknown, discussions surrounding the incident have attracted attention on social media, with some users linking it to beliefs in witchcraft and spiritual attacks that are common in many African communities.

Belief in witchcraft and traditional charms remains widespread across several African countries, including Uganda, where some people associate unexplained misfortunes, business struggles, and personal setbacks with spiritual interference. However, such beliefs vary widely, and there is no scientific evidence supporting claims that charms can affect business performance.

Nasolo has continued operating her salon as investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident continue. Supporters have encouraged her to remain focused on her business while relying on her faith during what they describe as a challenging period.

The incident has since generated debate among Ugandans both at home and abroad about cultural beliefs, business competition, and the role faith plays in overcoming difficult situations.
