Former Ugandan Ambassador to Egypt and the Middle East, Richard Angualia, has died in a fatal motorcycle accident this evening at Abi-Zardi, a notorious black spot. The collision occurred as he was en route to his home in Maracha District.
According to reports by Monitor’s Felix Warom, Angualia was riding a motorcycle when he collided head-on with another rider. Tragically, both men died on the spot.
Angualia, remembered for his diplomatic service and dedication to public duty, had recently returned to a quieter life in his home region. His sudden death has left many in shock, especially in Maracha where he was well respected.
Local authorities have launched investigations into the crash. Residents have also renewed calls for improved road safety measures at Abi-Zardi, which has claimed multiple lives over the years.
