A first-year student of the University of St Joseph Mbarara has been killed by unknown assailants in Mbarara City. The deceased has been identified as John Patrick Abenawe, 24, who was pursuing a Bachelor of Education degree at the Catholic-founded university. A Kampala businessman has been taken to court over an alleged multi-billion shilling fertilizer fraud that reportedly targeted an international company. A Makerere University student has lost her life after carbon monoxide poisoning from a stove that was left on inside her room in Kampala. The deceased has been identified as Amongin Francisca, a second-year student at the College of Education and External Studies, where she was pursuing a Bachelor of Science with Education, majoring in Mathematics and Economics.
