Ascenify Uganda Sparks Leadership Conversations Ahead of SWITCH Conference 2026

    By Aijuka PeterMay 28, 2026

Ascenify Uganda has intensified conversations around leadership, networking, and personal growth ahead of the highly anticipated SWITCH Conference 2026 by hosting a webinar themed “Take Charge.”

The virtual engagement, held as part of the conference build-up activities, brought together professionals, entrepreneurs, and emerging leaders from different sectors to discuss intentional growth, mentorship, and leadership transformation in today’s fast-changing professional environment.

The webinar was moderated by Beverley Nambozo Nsegiyunva and featured renowned leadership coach and speaker Dr. Peter Kimbowa as the guest speaker. During the session, Dr. Kimbowa challenged participants to rethink how they approach personal development, relationships, and leadership in both business and career spaces.

He introduced what he described as “The Power of 3,” a framework encouraging individuals to intentionally assess the people they mentor, the books they read, the learning platforms they use, and the relationships they maintain. According to Dr. Kimbowa, sustainable growth requires people to unlearn outdated habits, relearn new skills, and continuously build meaningful connections.

“The sum total of a person is not what they are, but what they could become,” Dr. Kimbowa told participants during the webinar.

He also highlighted what he called the “Magic of 3” which focuses on attitude, ability, and character as the core pillars for effective leadership and long-term impact. Participants were further challenged with reflective questions including, “Who becomes better because you existed?” while being reminded that taking charge of one’s life and leadership journey is both a discipline and a personal decision.

The webinar forms part of a wider series of engagements leading up to The SWITCH Conference 2026, a leadership and networking platform organized by Ascenify Uganda under the theme “Networking for Success.”

The conference is scheduled to take place on June 26, 2026, at Four Points by Sheraton Kampala and is expected to attract CEOs, entrepreneurs, senior executives, and professionals from across various industries.

Speaking ahead of the event, Ascenify Uganda Lead Coach Lynda Nabayiinda said the pre-conference conversations are intended to prepare professionals for more meaningful engagement during the conference itself.

“Growth begins with intentionality. Through these conversations, we are encouraging professionals to take charge of their leadership journey, build meaningful networks, and position themselves for long-term success,” she said.

According to the organizers, The SWITCH Conference aims to redefine professional networking by creating structured and intentional opportunities for mentorship, collaboration, and strategic partnerships. The platform seeks to move beyond traditional networking by focusing on authentic human connections and outcome-driven engagements that support sustainable growth.

Phillipa Nanyondo Byamah, Managing Partner and Co-founder at Ascenify, said the conference is designed to foster a community rooted in shared leadership development and collective growth rather than transactional interactions.

Attendance for The SWITCH Conference 2026 is open at a fee of UGX 150,000. Participants are expected to gain access to mentorship opportunities, high-level networking sessions, and valuable business connections.

Ascenify Uganda is a leadership development, training, and coaching firm that works with organizations and professionals to develop skills, mindset, and behaviors aimed at improving productivity, effectiveness, and sustainable growth.
