Shock as Ugandan Man Collapses and Dies During ‘High Voltage’ Twa Twa Marathon in the Bush

    By OnionMay 21, 2026

Police in Luuka District are investigating the sudden death of a 50-year-old man who collapsed and died during an intimate encounter in a bush area in Bukooma Sub-county, in an incident that has left residents in shock.

The deceased has been identified as Simon Kalamu, a resident of Namulanda Village in Namulanda Parish. Reports indicate that the incident happened on the evening of May 18, 2026, at around 9:00pm.

According to preliminary information from Busoga North Police, Kalamu met a 40-year-old woman from the same area before the two reportedly moved into a nearby bush where they engaged in sexual activity.

It is during the encounter that the man is said to have suddenly collapsed and became unresponsive.

The woman reportedly raised an alarm after realizing he was in distress, attracting nearby residents who later informed local authorities.

Police officers who arrived at the scene confirmed the incident and transported the body to a medical facility for postmortem examination to establish the exact cause of death.

While the official cause has not yet been confirmed, investigators believe the death may be linked to a sudden medical emergency triggered during physical exertion.

Authorities have since launched a full inquiry, and the woman involved is assisting police with ongoing investigations.

Police in the region say such sudden deaths, though rare, are often associated with underlying health conditions such as heart complications that may go undetected until stressful physical activity triggers an event.

Investigations into the incident are still ongoing.
