Masaka City Woman MP-elect Justine Nameere and her husband Kennedy Nsubuga gave their housewarming guests something to talk about after the couple shared a kiss in front of a room full of politicians, family, and friends.
The moment quickly became the highlight of the evening, drawing applause and plenty of warm reactions from those in attendance, including Speaker of Parliament Anita Among, who was among the guests at the celebration.
The two married on January 30, 2024, following a series of traditional ceremonies including Kukyala and Introduction in Masaka. Since going public with their relationship, they have faced criticism, mostly centred around their age difference. But the couple has never shied away from showing the world they are unbothered, and Monday’s housewarming was no different.
Between the speeches, laughter, and congratulations, it was the kiss that people kept coming back to. Guests cheered, phones went up, and the room lit up in a way that no speech could have managed on its own.
Nameere and Nsubuga have always maintained that what they have is built on love, respect, and the backing of their families, and if the energy in that room was anything to go by, very few people left doubting them.
What was supposed to be a simple housewarming ended up feeling like a second celebration of their relationship, mixing politics, warmth, and a little romance into one night that guests are unlikely to forget quickly. Watch the video here
