Police in Kirinyaga County are pursuing a suspect linked to the killing of a 28-year-old JSS teacher, Betty Wanjiru Nyaga.
Wanjiru’s body was discovered in a thicket at Mugumoini Village, Nyangati Location, within Mwea East Sub-County.
Preliminary findings revealed that the young woman had suffered multiple injuries on her head, thighs, and legs, as well as bruises on her face.
The area where the body was discovered did not show any signs of a struggle, indicating that the victim may have been killed elsewhere before the body was dumped there.
Police moved the body to mortuary for preservation, awaiting a postmortem examination and other procedures.
