Singer Ava Peace Dismisses Claims Linking Her to Circulating Bwaguga Videos

    By OnionJune 11, 2026

Ugandan singer Ava Peace has spoken out after videos circulating on social media were falsely linked to her, firmly denying that she is the woman seen in the footage.

The controversy gained momentum this week as the clips spread across WhatsApp groups and other online platforms, triggering widespread discussion among social media users. The singer decided to address the claims publicly after the speculation intensified.

In a statement shared online, Ava Peace said she rarely responds to online rumors but felt compelled to speak because of the growing attention the videos were receiving. She stressed that the allegations were untrue and expressed frustration over what she described as an attempt to damage the reputation she has worked hard to build over the years.

The musician pointed to noticeable physical differences between herself and the woman appearing in the videos, arguing that anyone looking closely would realize they were not the same person. She maintained that the clips had been wrongly attributed to her and urged the public not to be misled by online speculation.

Ava Peace also suggested that some individuals may be deliberately spreading the claims to tarnish her image. Despite the situation, she said she remains confident that the truth will eventually come out and clear her name.

The incident comes at a time when concerns about privacy violations and online harassment continue to grow in Uganda. In recent days, several discussions have emerged around the circulation of intimate content on social media, with digital rights advocates warning about the damage that can be caused when videos or images are shared without consent or falsely linked to individuals.

As debate over the videos continues online, Ava Peace has remained firm in her position, insisting that she has no connection to the content being shared. She has not publicly indicated whether she plans to pursue legal action against those behind the allegations.
