Ugandan Singer Aziz Magically Dies at his Home in Kyengera

    By OnionJune 14, 2026

The Ugandan music industry is mourning the sudden death of singer Aziz Magically, born Aziz Mawanda.

According to reports, Aziz had been residing in Kyengera for nearly two months after relocating from Mengo. Neighbors say he appeared healthy and in good spirits on the day of his death.

Speaking to social media blogger Matt Tee, one neighbor revealed that Aziz entered his rented residence at around 10:00 a.m. Later that afternoon, at approximately 4:00 p.m., a relative he was staying with returned home and discovered him unresponsive.

Following the tragic news, family members were informed, and Aziz’s father reportedly requested an immediate burial. In a move that surprised many, the singer was laid to rest at around 8:00 p.m. on the same day.

The exact cause of death has not yet been confirmed. However, some neighbors claimed that Aziz had recently been experiencing swelling in his feet and lips.

Aziz Magically first gained widespread public attention in 2018, not through his music career, but after becoming engaged to Monalisa Larson, a 70-year-old Swedish national, while he was just 19 years old. The relationship sparked significant discussion across social media platforms and brought him into the national spotlight.

Fans, friends, and members of the entertainment industry continue to express their condolences as they remember his life and legacy.

Further details regarding the circumstances surrounding his death are yet to be officially released.
