Drama in Mbarara as Man Slaughters All Remaining Goats After Wife Sells Three to Buy Pastor a Car

    By OnionJune 1, 2026

Residents of Mbarara were left both shocked and amused after a local man reportedly slaughtered his remaining five goats and stored the meat in a freezer following a disagreement with his wife over the family’s livestock.

According to the story circulating on social media, the conflict began after the man’s wife allegedly sold three goats without his consent and contributed the proceeds to a fundraising drive aimed at helping her pastor acquire a new vehicle.

Sources familiar with the matter claim the husband was furious upon learning that the animals had been sold. Rather than risk losing any more livestock, he reportedly decided to slaughter his remaining five goats and preserve the meat in a refrigerator.

The unusual response quickly became a talking point among neighbors and online users, with many debating whether the man’s actions were justified or simply an example of extreme frustration.

Social media users reacted with a mix of laughter and disbelief. Some sympathized with the husband, arguing that major financial decisions should be made jointly within a family. Others joked that the man had taken “asset protection” to a whole new level.

The story has since sparked conversations about communication, trust, and decision-making within marriages, while also providing plenty of material for internet comedians.

Whether viewed as a protest, a lesson, or an overreaction, the incident has left many Ugandans entertained and once again reminded the public that domestic disputes can sometimes take unexpected turns.
